What is comping?
Comping is a common jazz term that is short for "accompanying" - you can think of is as jazz guitar strumming patterns.
Comping is how we create a rhythmic background for the people we are playing with. The 2 biggest things jazz guitar players are responsible for in most settings are chords and comping.

What's the difference between this and other jazz guitar courses?
Lots of books, courses, and teachers can give you chord shapes to memorize. That's why so many people who learn jazz guitar know some chords, but still don't sound like a jazz guitar player.
This course teaches you a system to help you create the jazz guitar chords you need, when you need them.
Rather than learning several disconnected jazz guitar chords, you'll learn how to make your own chords that sound good, and connect smoothly to the other chords you'e playing.
Once you learn the system, you'll be able to create any jazz guitar chord on the spot, while you're playing. This course will show you how to make a lot of music with a few easy-to-learn chord shapes.
